Week #81
Bon Tardi,
It's been a wonderful week in the islands. I seriously
love it here more than words can describe. This area will bring me to
tears when I leave.. Anyways so this week we visited Curacao for zone
conference which was so awesome! I went up the day before to conduct
exchanges with the elders there which was super super fun. I love this
zone, it's hands down been my favorite place on my mission. It was a
tutoring week as I like to call them. So this week we met this couple
from the International Bible church. The people from this church normally just like to fight with us but these people felt the spirit and
keep inviting us back. It's been cool because you can see in their
faces that they want to deny what we are saying but the literally can't.
It's been really cool to see!
One of the recent convert families here in Bonaire is doing great. Brother Mens just yesterday received the Melchizedek priesthood and was called as our branch mission leader so I am super super pumped!!!!! It's been amazing to see them change and especially him. He's already read handbook 2 all the way through.. He's awesome! Anyway I love you all Have a good week!

Week #79
Hello Everyone!
This
week was a stretching one. Most of our appointments fell through.
Everything fell through this week so we worked very diligently in our
contact area. We put in a lot of time there, we are busy finishing up a
contact area that elders had left before completion and this week we
finished it. We mostly finished it. IT has gotten to the point where we
are just walking in circles and we can't find the houses that are marked
down. But we have found so many people who otherwise were not home. I
felt very good about it. A lot of seeds get planted and I know that we
are doing the Lords work. This
week was drenched with celestial experiences. Most of which were in our
contact area. One of them and perhaps the most influential was a couple
days ago where everything fell through and we were contacting all day
trying our best to get every single person. It was about 7:30
and we went to the last house on one of the last streets that we just
hadn't felt like it was a good time to contact it but it was the last
one so we squared up and did it. Honestly I think we felt that way
because the people looked extremely uninterested in anything,
especially religion. But we went and we talked with that family,
Christ-loving man for 30 minutes and he had so many questions and wanted
us to come back. HE was a dutch man who moved away from the
Netherlands because of the ridicule they get for believing in God. We
got his info and are going back. That whole day was so hard and we were
tired and done because no one was home or wanted to listen. But the Lord
wanted to see if we would be diligent and we found Amulek in Ammonihah,
the very last house. It was an amazing experience.
This week I get to go to Aruba to do companion exchanges so I am really excited about that!

Week #78
Hello One and All,
This week was great! World War three here in the
islands for new years but nothing compared to Suriname! This week was so
so so great! The Lords hand has been obvious in our work as we have
strove to talk to every one and push the Book of Mormon. We have these
things called contact areas and we pray to know where we need to go and
once we know we do not leave that area until every single house has been
contacted and a person at that house has been talked to. There is
nothing more rewarding than leaving an area knowing you've done all
you possibly could to preach the gospel. We had a cool experience with
that this week as I felt inspired to go to our contact area even though
we could only stay for 10 minutes. I saw the street in my head that I
knew we needed to go too and we go and find this man from Colorado. He
said the coolest thing "Yeah I saw the missionaries all the time but
they never stopped at my door" It's amazing that of all places, he meets
us on the tiny island of Bonaire. It was a huge testament that God
answers prayers and if we follow the spirit he will lead us to his
children. He is going back to Colorado but he gave us his information so
that the missionaries there can teach him and his family! I am so
grateful for this work. I remember riding to our next appointment being
so so so pumped just loving the work. We are looking forward to January
to see a lot of people who told us "next year"
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
