This week was a wild one. Elder Burr was in trinidad all week so I had the chance to be with Elder Galke this week as the only missionaries on the whole island. We once taught a lesson in all four of the languages. English, dutch, papiamento and spanish. Its nuts. Anyways, we had a great week. Our mission president said that my companion and I are in the hardest area of the mission and I have never been so glad. It has seriously been on eof the greatest blessings being here in Bonaire. The members are amazing and so strong and are really starting to catch the wave of missionary work. We saw so many miracles this week. We are currently teaching two familes right now that we just found while contacting. Elder Burr and I have been praying very diligently to find familes and the Lord has lead us straight to them. We also found this girl who moved in literally right next to our apartment complex and turns out her parents are returning less actives! She was never baptized but she knows elders very well abnd actually contacted us! We had the most spritual lesson with her about God. She didnt think she believed in God but by the end of the lesson with the undeniable spirit that was present she actually has always known there was some greater power. We have been blessed with many miracles. The Lord answers and hears prayers. My testimony buillder this week was a couple things but most of them coming from my search to strengthen my testimony. We met this lady who tried to convert us to her church and basucally opened up with "The Book of Mormon is not true" We both just smiled and testified that it is true and that she should read it and find out for herself. She eventually expressed a frusteration about how she didnt know why we were smiling and so happy. And we both equivacally told her "Because we are doing the most important work in the world sharing th most important message that you will ever hear" She walked away in frusteration while we felt extreme peace. She refused to let us into her gate but we invited and testified and know that both our testimonies we strengthend and we knelt in pray together and confirmed our testimonies.
We got the oppurtunity to watch the YSA Devotional this last sunday and something I loved that was said is "No amount of intelligence will ever compete with hand work and grit" I feel like that's been the theme of my whole life and really should be the theme for every one. I know that we can do anything we put our minds to. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become anything we want to.
I would like to take the chance to testify of the reality of Jesus Christ and God the Eternal Father. They are living beings who love us more than we could ever possibly understand. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. There's nothing I love more than looking others in the eyes and telling them that we share the most important message they will ever hear. I hope that you all are reading the scriptures and striving for spirutal expirences everyday!
